STOP! Don't get Married YET! (Kindle Edition)

STOP! Don't get Married YET!
STOP! Don't get Married YET! (Kindle Edition)
By Davina Bilow

Review & Description

Unless your intention is to get a divorce - and that’s an option for you – you must read this guide to “must have” qualities before getting married. This book also deals with what you need if you’re already married and are considering divorce (or have previously been divorced), and is a straight forward and to the point, conversation that will help to prepare you for your next meaningful relationship.

Most of us have good intentions when we choose to marry, but the reality is that 60% of marriages in the U.S. end in divorce. The fact is, bad things can happen to good people; even in the best of situations. Who’s to say that your relationship won’t be that statistic? Perhaps this thought has crossed your mind. I’m here to share my solution with you; a little “street smarts”, if you will. After one too many heartbreaks, I simply got to the point where I’d had it! As a result, I became determined to find a solution to this epidemic of failed relationships in our world. If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been curious about this yourself. I’d like to share my intuition, insight, formal education, and wisdom with you; that is, if you’ll allow me the pleasure. It’s possible you don’t know, about what you don’t know, humans, our mind, and how it all ties together in relationships I’m not saying this is going to be easy, but please trust me in that it WORKS, and you’ll be immensely proud of yourself after all is said and done!Unless your intention is to get a divorce - and that’s an option for you – you must read this guide to “must have” qualities before getting married. The Wind Through the Keyhole (Dark Tower) (Kindle Edition)

Review & Description

In The Wind Through the Keyhole, Stephen King returns to the rich landscape of Mid-World, the spectacular territory of the Dark Tower fantasy saga that stands as his most beguiling achievement.

Roland Deschain and his ka-tetJake, Susannah, Eddie, and Oy, the billy-bumbler—encounter a ferocious storm just after crossing the River Whye on their way to the Outer Baronies. As they shelter from the howling gale, Roland tells his friends not just one strange story but two . . . and in so doing, casts new light on his own troubled past.

In his early days as a gunslinger, in the guilt-ridden year following his mother’s death, Roland is sent by his father to investigate evidence of a murderous shape-shifter, a “skin-man” preying upon the population around Debaria. Roland takes charge of Bill Streeter, the brave but terrified boy who is the sole surviving witness to the beast’s most recent slaughter. Only a teenager himself, Roland calms the boy and prepares him for the following day’s trials by reciting a story from the Magic Tales of the Eld that his mother often read to him at bedtime. “A person’s never too old for stories,” Roland says to Bill. “Man and boy, girl and woman, never too old. We live for them.” And indeed, the tale that Roland unfolds, the legend of Tim Stoutheart, is a timeless treasure for all ages, a story that lives for us.

King began the Dark Tower series in 1974; it gained momentum in the 1980s; and he brought it to a thrilling conclusion when the last three novels were published in 2003 and 2004. The Wind Through the Keyhole is sure to fascinate avid fans of the Dark Tower epic. But this novel also stands on its own for all readers, an enchanting and haunting journey to Roland’s world and testimony to the power of Stephen King’s storytelling magic. In The Wind Through the Keyhole, Stephen King returns to the rich landscape of Mid-World, the spectacular territory of the Dark Tower fantasy saga that stands as his most beguiling achievement.

The Map of True Places (Kindle Edition)

The Map of True Places
The Map of True Places (Kindle Edition)
By Brunonia Barry

Review & Description

Brunonia Barry, the New York Times bestselling author of The Lace Reader, offers an emotionally compelling novel about finding your true place in the world.

Zee Finch has come a long way from a motherless childhood spent stealing boats—a talent that earned her the nickname Trouble. She's now a respected psychotherapist working with the world-famous Dr. Liz Mattei. She's also about to marry one of Boston's most eligible bachelors. But the suicide of Zee's patient Lilly Braedon throws Zee into emotional chaos and takes her back to places she though she'd left behind.

What starts as a brief visit home to Salem after Lilly's funeral becomes the beginning of a larger journey for Zee. Her father, Finch, long ago diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, has been hiding how sick he really is. His longtime companion, Melville, has moved out, and it now falls to Zee to help her father through this difficult time. Their relationship, marked by half-truths and the untimely death of her mother, is strained and awkward.

Overwhelmed by her new role, and uncertain about her future, Zee destroys the existing map of her life and begins a new journey, one that will take her not only into her future but into her past as well. Like the sailors of old Salem who navigated by looking at the stars, Zee has to learn to find her way through uncharted waters to the place she will ultimately call home.

The Witch and The Devil's Son (Kindle Edition)

The Witch and The Devil's Son
The Witch and The Devil's Son (Kindle Edition)
By Jennifer B. White

Review & Description

Magic comes in all forms.

Sixteen year-old Melody Blackstone is a witch. And in the Christian community of Welbourne, Kansas, she’s as welcome as The Devil.

When she meets newcomer Van Masterson—intelligent, charismatic, but an outcast like herself—she’s dangerously drawn to him, unaware of his dark past and what wickedness he’s planning.

Soon after his arrival, Melody struggles to understand why she sees little black imps, has visions of a graveyard interloper, and hears the whispers of someone else’s thoughts. A visit from her dead father leaves her with even more questions.

Spells, incantations, rituals and a group of lost souls raising hell, stir up the quiet town. And the outraged residents of Welbourne are quick to point the finger at the Witches of Blackstone Farm.

Even as Melody begins falling in love with Van, she’s forced to accept the critical role she plays in his objective—to become the Devil’s son, limitless in what his evil powers can do.Magic comes in all forms.
