Review & Description
Edmond Dantes disembarks in the port of Marseille after a Mediterranean odyssey. Just as he is about to become a Captain and get married, some of his mates from the ship accuse him of betrayal. Dantes then is declared guilty and incarcerated in a castle. While in this jail he meets a dying prisoner who bequeathed him a treasure hidden in the island of Monte Cristo that Dantès will try to find. Read more
